2. Power sockets used in Malta are of Type G plugs, which have three rectangular pins. If you\u2019re bringing electronic devices from another country, you may need to bring an adapter to fit these sockets.<\/p>

Malta Visa Requirements<\/h3><\/path><\/svg><\/div>

EU nationals are allowed to enter Malta by only carrying an identification document.<\/p>

Non-EU nationals need to show the following documents at the Maltese port of entry;<\/p>

A valid passport or travel document. (Valid for at least three more months beyond your planned date of exit from Schengen, and issued within the last 10 years<\/em>.)<\/p>

A Visa (if you are subject to the Maltese Visa regime<\/em>.)<\/p>

Travel Health Insurance. (Covering medical emergencies in Malta and the whole Schengen area for a minimum of \u20ac30,000<\/em>.)<\/p>

In some cases, you might be asked to show additional documents as an invitation letter. Please fill in your details\u00a0here<\/a>\u00a0should you require such a letter.<\/p>

Please, make sure that the Maltese Border Officer stamps your passport when you enter Malta. Without a stamp, you could be fined or detained.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

What document is required?<\/h3><\/path><\/svg><\/div>

The mandatory required documents for a short-stay Visa to Malta are as follows:<\/p>

1. Maltese visa application form.<\/a> Learn here<\/a> how to correctly fill in the Schengen Visa Application Form.<\/p>

2. Two passport photos. The photos should be identical and comply with the photograph requirements<\/a> for Maltese Schengen visa application.<\/p>

3. Your valid passport.<\/p>

4. It has at least blank pages in order to affix Visa.<\/p>

5. It is no older than 10 years on the date you plan to leave Malta, or the Schengen Zone.<\/p>

6. Has a validity of at least three more months beyond the date you plan to leave Malta and the whole territory of Schengen.<\/p>

7. Copies of your previous Visas (if applicable).<\/p>

8. Malta Travel Health Insurance<\/a>. (Proof that you have purchased health insurance that covers medical emergencies for at least \u20ac30,000 in Malta and the whole Schengen territory.)<\/p>

9. Round-trip Flight itinerary.<\/p>

10. Proof of accommodation.<\/p>

11. Proof of sufficient financial means for the period of stay in Malta<\/a>.<\/p>

12. A cover letter. A personal letter in which you explain why you are applying to visit Malta, how long you plan to stay, when will you leave and other details.<\/p>

13. Proof of civil status. (This could be a marriage certificate, birth certificate of children, death certificate of spouse, etc.)<\/p>

Alternatively, one can apply for a Malta Business Visa.<\/p>

When applying to obtain a Maltese Business Visa, you must provide the following additional documents:<\/p>

1. Invitation letter. (Please fill in you details <\/em>here<\/em><\/a>)<\/em><\/p>

2. Copy of inviter\u2019s ID or person signing the invitation letter.<\/p>

3. A letter from your employer. (In this letter should be stated why you will be traveling to Malta.)<\/em><\/p>

4. Proof of trip financing. (Regarding the applicant\u2019s expenses during their stay in Malta, either the employer or the partner company must state coverage of expenses on the letter or invitation.)<\/em><\/p>

How Long Does It Take to Get a Maltese Visa?<\/h3><\/path><\/svg><\/div>

The processing time for a Malta short-stay is 15 working days at the minimum. Depending on your situation this period may be extended up to 30 days. Exceptional cases may take up to 60 days, since the Maltese embassies may have to consult with other Schengen consulates.<\/p>

How Much Does It Cost to Apply for a Maltese Visa?<\/strong><\/p>

The costs of a Maltese visa for stays up to 90 days within 6-month periods are as follows:<\/p>

1. \u20ac80 for adults<\/p>

2. \u20ac40 for children under the age of 12<\/p>

3. Free for children under the age of six<\/p>

Moreover, according to applicant\u2019s nationality, purpose of visit and some other factors, there are some categories of applicants exempt<\/a> from paying the fee, and others that need to pay a lower amount as well.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n

COVID-19 Requirements<\/h3><\/path><\/svg><\/div>

1. ONLY travellers entering Malta from China must be in possession of a negative COVID-19 rapid antigen test. The test must be performed not more than 48 hours prior to the time of arrival in Malta.<\/p>

2. Alternatively, a negative PCR test taken within seventy-two (72) hours prior to arrival in Malta is also accepted.<\/p>

3. Passengers aged 11 years and under are exempt from this travel requirement.<\/p><\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n
