As a firm supporter of social impact, education and technology for good, Yahya
Mohamed Mao is the Founder and Editor-in-Chief of Scientya.com – The
digital world publication. Considered as one of Switzerland’s fastest growing
tech blogs, Yahya aims with Scientya.com to build an international community of
contributors and industry experts who share and create knowledge in a fast-paced
world. Major topics include FinTech, Cloud Computing, Artificial Intelligence,
Healthcare, Blockchain and Digital Transformation.
Education
Born into a family of diplomats originating from Somalia and Yemen, Yahya
Mohamed Mao learned from a young age the significance of having an
international mindset and has completed a multinational education path across
Germany, France and England enabling him to speak five languages fluently.
Yahya is a Master’s Graduate in Economics and Management of Innovation from
the University of Strasbourg with an international exchange semester at the
University of Sussex where he studied Technology and Innovation Management.
He’s currently enrolled in ThePowerMBA program to expand his expertise in
Business Strategy, Entrepreneurship, Marketing, Innovation and Digital
Transformation.
Background/Experience
Yahya Mohamed Mao is a specialist in his field and an internationally respected
Marketing Specialist, Author, Mentor and Speaker based in Switzerland. As a
techthusiast, Yahya loves reading and writing about the latest tech trends across
sectors. His techthusiasm enabled him to establish himself as an expert member
and author on various platforms. Moreover, Yahya published several books
including “The multidimensional characteristics of modern marketing: A broad,
integrated perspective to marketing management” and “Managing risk and
uncertainty in the innovation process: Analysing the implications of managerial
decision making”.
The outbreak of the Corona Virus impelled Yahya to engage in the EUvsVirus
Hackathon as a Marketing Mentor leading to numerous speaking engagements
virtually. At the same time, Yahya actively contributes to Masschallenge
Switzerland where his role consists in helping to find and shape the next global
class of high-potential startups in Switzerland. One of the prominent startups he
mentored during Masschallenge Switzerland is Hi-D Imaging, an ETH Spinoff
MedTech start-up company that aims to revolutionize the medical imaging sector
by reducing pre-operational/surgical planning complexity and times.

Switzerland’s fastest growing Medium.com publication covers various topics
including Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence, Cloud Computing, Health Care,
Marketing and more. The launch of Scientya was inspired by one of the most
successful tech blogs Hacker Noon. Founded by David Smooke and established
as a home for technology related stories with a steadily growing and outstanding
contributing community on Medium, the publication counts over 200.000 readers
per day. With these achievements in mind, Scientya was launched to attract a
number of readers and contributors from across the globe.
Participation in Previous Summits of SiGMA, AIBC, AGS or MED-TECH
With SiGMA, Yahya first came in touch in 2019 during the AIBC Summit where
he shared his thoughts on how blockchain can help the environment and how
technology can help achieve sustainable development goals. Two years later
during the AIBC UAE Summit 2021, Yahya became involved for this first time
as a part of the AIBC Awards’ Judging Committee that brings together luminaries
in the industry for an evening of recognition and celebration of achievement. A
commitment, Yahya also made during the AIBC Europe 2021 in Malta. In
addition, Yahya also spoke at the conference during the main stage event for DeFi
& Emerging Tech and moderated the panel The Reality of Cybercrime: Fact vs
Fiction, a panel that was highly appreciated and also featured by Cryptonews.com.
