Steve Tendon

Steve Tendon is the Managing Director of ChainStrategies, a consulting firm providing strategic blockchain advisory services. Steve is a world class blockchain strategist. In 2016 he was the Strategic Advisor for the Maltese Ministry of Economy, developed the vision of “The Blockchain Island” and designed Malta’s National Blockchain Strategy. In 2017 he was the Strategic Lead on Malta’s National Blockchain Task Force within the Office of the Prime. Founder and first President of the Blockchain Malta Association. Since 2018 he is the advisor to the Republic of the Marshall Islands on the introduction of their own national legal tender crypto currency. In 2018 he was acclaimed in the “Lattice80 Blockchain 100” list of global Blockchain influencers. Malta Blockchain Award winner for “Outstanding Contribution to the Blockchain Island 2018.” Winner of the “ANGI Malta Business Award 2018” at the House of Representatives of the Italian Government in Rome. Founding member of the OXBC, the Oxford Blockchain Foundation. Founder of the “Blockchain Island Club.” In 2019 he was the initiator and member of the mirror Technical Committee for Malta on the ISO/TC-307 Blockchain and distributed ledger technologies standard in the International Standards Organisation (Geneva), and member in the work groups on Blockchain Data Protection, Security, Identity Management, Architectures, Smart Contracts and Smart Governance. He is a board member of the Startup Malta Foundation.
