Rizwan is a UK qualified lawyer with over 10 years’ of legal experience. He has High Court, Appeals Court, and Technology and Construction Courts experience, together with non-contentious commercial contracts experience, and has represented clients across a range of sectors, most notably in sports, construction, trade, and emerging technology.
Rizwan lives in Dubai and he currently focuses on clients in the FinTech and Blockchain sector, providing commercial legal advice to those clients when it comes to incorporating, registering ownership, seeking investment, negotiating contracts, and managing projects. He also provides consultancy services for new clients looking to enter Web3 and helps clients recognise the commercial opportunities within Web3.
Rizwan has written a number of insightful articles on blockchain and dispute resolution, and continues to make valuable contributions to this nascent and constantly evolving sector. He is an advocate for developing a unified framework for crypto, having been involved in the recovery of lost and stolen crypto assets for clients and seeing first-hand the damage fraudsters have caused to the industry, by taking advantage of vulnerable investors and the lack of governance.
